150-pound weight loss

Though a busy lifestyle usually keeps most people out of the gym, Trinity Fitness has become a place of escape from the chaos that comes from raising four kids, having a husband who works nights, and maintaining a part-time job. Trinity Fitness truly accommodates my hectic lifestyle and has been an integral part of my weight loss. I have managed to lose more than 150 pounds over the last year and a half without surgery or fad dieting. It would not have been possible without all the benefits that Trinity Fitness provided.

Having some medical issues and being 300 pounds when I first started, I was able to exercise in a way that was safe and healthy for me. I used the underwater treadmill, hot tub, and water aerobics classes to help get me to a healthier and stronger place where I could begin to take advantage of all the cardio equipment, as well as begin classes such as Zumba.

Accessibility is never an issue since 24-hour access and childcare are available.

Trinity Fitness has a family-friendly environment that has made me feel comfortable from day one. All of the staff are professional, committed, and know everybody by name. My kids look forward to participating in KidsFit twice a week with a personal trainer who works with them to promote a healthy lifestyle through exercising. This is very important to a mom. I couldn’t recommend a better or more convenient fitness facility than Trinity Fitness.

Getting in shape

In July of this year, I was diagnosed with diabetes and was told by the doctor that I needed to lose some weight. I weighed 352 pounds. I am a 70-year-old male who wants to lives to see 71-2-3-4-5-6-7, etc. I have never been one for exercise, but I figured if I wanted to live, I needed to do it.

I am a member of the Mary Black System and the doctor recommended Trinity Health and Fitness, so I took the plunge and signed up. My main interest was water classes. Trinity also has a unique water treadmill which is great.

I attended Zumba classes, water aerobics, etc., for three to four months. It was a lot of fun. One instructor especially gives you a work-out you’ll never forget. At the end of three months, I had lost 24 pounds.

I liked the classes but was getting tired of waiting until 9 a.m. to work out. I am an early riser, so I started coming to the fitness center early and doing 30 minutes on the treadmill and then my own work-out in the pool. I purchased all the same equipment used in classes and find this is a good way to start the day.

Trinity Health is a very clean, well-run facility. The staff is excellent. The equipment is superior and the pools and water treadmill are great. It has a steam sauna room and Jacuzzi.

The most important thing is the personal relationships you form from belonging to Trinity. They know your name and they smile. They are more than willing to help.

For seniors who are single like I am, this is a wonderful place to come and meet new friends. Come and join the classes and have fun. Don’t sit at home and watch the pounds add up. I’m happy to report that as of Nov. 17, I now weigh 330 pounds.

Come join a very spiritual, clean, great place to socialize and lose weight at the same time. It doesn’t matter how fat or skinny you are. You will fit right in.
